RULE­S TO GET AID / ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible for the Generation Google Scholarship (EMEA) 2024-25, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s program at an accredited university for the 2023-2024 academic year
  • Intend to be enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s program at an accredited university in Europe, Middle East, or Africa for the 2024-2025 academic year
  • Pursuing studies in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field
  • Strong academic performance
  • Demonstrated leadership and commitment to enhancing representation of underrepresented groups in technology

Application Process

  • Interested applicants for the Generation Google Scholarship (EMEA) 2024 need to complete an online application, including:
    • General background information
    • Resume/CV
    • Academic transcripts
    • Responses to short answer essay questions

Essay Questions

Applicants are required to respond to the following short answer essay questions:

  1. Describe a time when you tackled a complex problem without a clear solution path. Share your problem-solving process, resources considered, and lessons learned.
  2. From personal experience, discuss a barrier limiting equitable access to technology.
  3. Address the root cause, actions taken to address inequity, and planned future actions.
